Description of the invention

An object of the invention is a trailer and platform with axle electric self-propelled for heavy transport on the road that, being connected to the electronic central unit of the tractor unit, comprises a pair of electric motors on at least one axle of the wheels of said trailer and platform. The motors are associated one to each wheel and, suitably dimensioned, they are embedded in the axis, but they do not lodge inside tunneled. That is to say, the axis cannot be tunneled, because it loses mechanical characteristics of resistance and, in addition, this solution complicates the connections of the engines.

The electric motors are independent of each other, both physically and in operation. Therefore, they can work one at a time, separately (for example, with an electric motor) switched on and the other off) working at the same time simultaneously.

Object of the invention

The present invention relates to a trailer or platform of the type that is linked to a tractor unit for heavy transport on the road and that has the particularity of comprising at least one shaft self-propelled by two electric motors, which allows, among others advantages, a better control of the convoy, a lower consumption of fuel and, consequently, a reduction of the polluting emissions of the tractor unit itself.
